Newsgroups can be tedious to wade through, but I have found the Microsoft Managed Newsgroups for Partners to be a wonderful resource.  For any registered Small Business Specialist, these are easy to get to.  https://members.microsoft.com/communities/partner/  I found that link from the partner site at Microsoft.com and the first time it wanted me to 'setup' but I did that once and now it works fine.  A lot of the 'issues' we discuss are also over there.  The best part is that these are 4 hr response, so when an issue arises that is important but not time sensitive, check out the managed newsgroups it could be the answer is in there.

Found this, luckily the google Cache resurrected it for me. I wanna 'Live' it but sometimes the search just does not do it!!!

http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:_ffrXEGEqYMJ:dev.citazioni.tk/2006/12/13/htc-mteor-application-unlock/+regeditSTG2.exe+certificate&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us

You'll need a tool called regeditSTG2.exe, which seems to lurk in the underground. I have a copy if you need it.

Using that tool, simply make these changes to the registry. (ALL REQUISITE MEASURES TO SAFEGUARD DATA SHOULD BE TAKEN FIRST, and I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR DOING THIS, FIDDLLING AROUND IN THE REGISTRY IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD ONLY BE DONE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU COULD SCREW UP EVERYTHING!!!)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001 = 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 40
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001017 = 144

So then go copy the appropriate cert, in this case I exported the cert from my Trusted Publishers to the desktop, over to the WM5 device. On the device open it up in 'File Manager' it will ask if you want to install the cert, go for it. Then go back and confirm your exchange settings and Sync to your hearts content…

This is a good tip, however, I shall remind you…ALL REQUISITE MEASURES TO SAFEGUARD DATA SHOULD BE TAKEN FIRST, and I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR DOING THIS, FIDDLLING AROUND IN THE REGISTRY IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD ONLY BE DONE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU COULD SCREW UP EVERYTHING!!!

I hope that this helps you out…

As I was walking out the door this morning, I discovered that my beautiful Motorola Q by SprintPCS was not booting up. That's the short of it.

The result? I spent the WHOLE DAY, of which I had planned to be 'connected' for most of it via the wonderful OMA and other 'features' of our SBS network, with minimal contact. It was an odd feeling, knowing there was stuff that needed my attention, and all the while nothing I could do about it. Fortunately, I had the 'other' cell phone on me, and a couple of my clients, and Abbie, were able to reach me on it directly, one even managed to do so while we were in one of the more remote areas of central Louisiana. I was able to fix the emergencies, and have a relaxing 10.5 hour day in the car with the family.

When we got to Madisonville, I got connected again on the laptop via wireless router connected to a cable modem. So much for vaca…
